When four students from the English Department at Komar University heard about the Syrian children and IDP’s who needed English courses at the Civil Development Organization (CDO) based in Sulaimaniya (Kurdistan, Iraq), they immediately volunteered to teach them. With their time management skills, Chro, Ranj, Sozkaly, and Wisam burned their candles at both ends and successfully handled their regular courses at the university along with their teaching hours at the organization. May 2016 witnessed the culmination of their unique efforts with the end of the CDO English courses and the achievement of the intended learning outcomes. The Department of English would like to thank its students for this dedication and volunteered commitment.
