Investigating Perspectives of Faculty Members and Students of English Literature at King Khalid University on the Use of Blackboard in a Drama Course in the Era of COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract
Purpose-The current study aimed at investigating perspectives of faculty members of English literature and their students of English drama at King Khalid University on the utilization of Blackboard in a drama course in the era of COVID-19 Pandemic. The number-one purpose of this study is to explore English literature instructors' and English drama students perceptions of utilizing blackboard platforms for teaching and learning English literature subjects. The number-two, purpose of this study is to provide a guideline for more systematic utilization of Blackboard platform technology that has been possible in Saudi undergraduate students of English Literature (drama)classrooms context at King Khalid University/Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Methodology This was a cross-sectional descriptive study. It was carried out among faculty members of English literature and their students of English drama at King Khalid University on the utilization of Blackboard in a drama course in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic To collect the data of the current study, the researcher used two online survey questionnaires, one for the staff members of English literature and the other for their students of English ( drama). The purposive sample of the study consisted of mixed-gender faculty (N =20) members and male and female and undergraduate students of English literature(drama)( N:130).
