A seminar on IELTS exam

On Wednesday, February 19^th, Mr. Awder Raza Aziz, MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, faculty members of the English department and lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU), presented a seminar entitled “IELTS exam: Types, skills, and scoring system”. He introduced the types of The International English Language Testing System or IELTS, and a brief history of IELTS. Different sections of the exam were discussed in more detail.

He explained the process of applying and also the registration in this exam. He emphasized on the preparation techniques and the required skills in order to get a higher band in this examination. In addition, he discussed the procedure of the main marking criteria.
